The Pirates of Guisborough

28th Apr 2023

Pirates invaded one of our Urban Saints group during their Easter special event….thankfully they were friendly enough! Your prayers and donations make groups and events like this possible so THANK YOU

The above photo shows some of the young people from Guisborough, one our newer Urban Saints groups in the North.

As you can see, they had lots of fun dressing up as pirates with hats, washable tattoos and drawn on moustaches. This was followed by a ‘hunt the treasure’ and games such as ‘Captain in Deck’ The group made rafts from corks and cocktail sticks and sailed them on the ‘high seas’ (paddling pool) and went fishing for sea creatures.

Guisborough Urban Saints meet every Tuesday and is divided into 2 age groups of both church and community backgrounds. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to explore and develop their own faith, join in with discussions and share openly with trusted leaders.

Urban Saints train and equip leaders and volunteers in serving young people by showing them how wonderful our great big God is and how they too can have a relationship with him.

Are you a bold and adventurous youth leader?

If you would like to find out more about how we can help you run a group in your local area, do get in touch, we would love to help.
