Urban Saints announce new Chief Mission Officer

11th Mar 2021

It is with pleasure that Urban Saints can now announce that Anthony Horton (Ant) has been appointed as our new Chief Mission Officer. Ant comes with much experience as the CEO of east to west, a Christian youth work charity based in Egham.

“I’m hugely excited to be given the opportunity to join Urban Saints and to get to know the team and everyone in the movement across the UK and Ireland where values of Adventure, Discipleship and Justice are central to who we are and what we do.” Ant Horton

Ant began his career in the reprographics industry but has spent most of his working life in youth work, leading youth teams in churches and at east to west. Ant is married to Rachel and has three teenage boys. One of his family traditions is that each son joins him in walking up Snowdon when they reach the age of 12. He spends much of his free time standing on the side-lines of sports fields cheering on his sons in their sporting endeavours as well as supporting Crystal Palace FC. Ant also enjoys reading, cooking, woodwork and listening to music.

“Ant will be a great addition to the staff team at Urban Saints, as he has a track record of strategically working with staff teams and volunteers alike to fulfil the mission of the organisations he has worked for. We are excited about all he can bring to Urban Saints from his vast experience and look forward to working with him.”
Sharon Prior, Chair of the Board of Trustees

Ant will join the team on Monday 14th June 2021 and we look forward to welcoming him then. Please do pray for Ant, his family, Urban Saints and east to west as they make this transition.

We look forward to sharing more with you about Ant as he takes up his position in the summer and hearing his plans for leading Urban Saints forward.
