In 2011, Mark Arnold was invited to run a seminar on additional needs for a group of local churches. The feedback from the evening was very positive and more invites followed soon after, leading to the development of the 'All Inclusive?' seminar tour. Mark continued to visit churches around the UK alongside his role as Chief Operating Officer and has spoken at numerous Additional Needs conferences too. He also developed the 'All Inclusive 2 U' consultancy service during this time.
In 2017, Urban Saints made the bold step to put the inclusion of children and young people with additional needs at the core of their 2020 strategy and Mark moved into a new full time inclusion role. Mark will help to keep Urban Saints at the leading edge of inclusion and wellbeing for children and young people in the UK and Ireland.
Mark is co-founder of the ‘Additional Needs Alliance’, a collective of organisations, children’s & youth workers, parents and more who share a passion for making a positive difference for children and young people with additional needs. He is a ‘Churches for All’ partner, a member of the ‘Council for Disabled Children’ and ‘Living Fully’, and serves on the executive for ‘Children Matter!’ Mark has over 20 years of youth work experience and is the father of James, a boy with Autism.
