Summer term is turning into a really busy time for the Additional Needs Ministry at Urban Saints, with lots of in-building and online training sessions, conference speaking, writing, and radio and tv appearances! It’s great to be sharing the important message of acceptance, accessibility, inclusion, and belonging for children and young people with additional needs, across the country.
Feedback from the events so far this term has been hugely encouraging… here’s just a selection:
“Thank you so much for leading us so brilliantly yesterday! Everyone was buzzing and we are looking to introduce the one-page profiles this Sunday! We even have someone wishing to be inclusion champion so we are super excited and will be continuing to pray and press into this important ministry area!” (training feedback)
“Thank you so much for these resources and thank you again for the brilliant training on Saturday - we were just talking about it in our staff meeting and everyone has taken away so much. We really appreciate it!” (training feedback)
“Thank you so much for joining us on Tuesday's show - you shared some really helpful insights! Look forward to speaking again sometime.” (radio feedback)
There is lots more activity planned over the next couple of months, so look out for more updates on the Urban Saints social media channels. We will be providing groups, churches, and conference events, with consultancy and training to help them understand and support all the children and young people that they journey with; we will be sharing tips and strategies to use to support neurodivergent children and young people as well as children and young people with a range of additional needs; and we will be providing inspiring stories of how even small changes can make a big, big difference for everyone!
If you would like to know more about how the additional needs ministry at Urban Saints can help your group or church to become more accepting and understanding of children and young people with additional needs, working together to create accessibility, inclusion, and belonging for all, do please contact our Additional Needs Ministry Director, Mark Arnold, at marnold@urbansaints.org
