Higher Education Accrediting Partner
We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Perth Bible College in Australia, who now formally recognise our Contemporary Youth Ministry, Contemporary Urban Mission, Youth & Families Chaplaincy, and Community Chaplaincy courses. Westbrook graduates will receive academic credit through Approved Prior Learning, contributing towards either the Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma* in Youth Ministry, Mission or Chaplaincy at Perth Bible College.
After successfully completing the first year with Westbrook Academy, graduates have the option to undertake a second year of online study, focusing on Biblical Interpretation, Theology, the Old Testament, and the New Testament, in order to achieve a qualification from Perth Bible College.
*The final award will depend on the level of qualification students hold prior to beginning their studies with Westbrook Academy—this will be discussed during the interview process.
Ministerial Accrediting Partner
Become an Accredited Youth or Urban Minister with Westbrook Academy
Dr Keith Foster, our Academy Principal states:
"We’re excited to partner with Churches in Communities International to offer graduates of our Contemporary Youth Ministry, Contemporary Urban Mission, Community Chaplaincy, and Youth and Families Chaplaincy courses an opportunity to achieve a nationally recognised form of ministerial accreditation."
If you choose to pursue this path, you can apply for accreditation upon graduation. After completing a 12-month probationary period, you may also be eligible to apply for ordination. Each candidate is assessed individually by Churches in Communities International, but Westbrook Academy is committed to equipping and preparing you for every step of the process.
Skills and Education Group Endorsement
Westbrook Academy is proud to announce that we are the first faith-based college to achieve endorsement through the Skills and Education Group Quality Licence Scheme (QLS).
