We are on a journey together. Supporting, encouraging and discipling children and young people. One of the reasons why Urban Saints has continued to be a movement for over 100 years is because we have loved doing things together. Camps, events, sports, gatherings – it’s just not as inspiring doing them alone. The journey of faith itself is a journey best done together.
We’d like to invite you on Our Big Journey in March 2022 - over the weekend of 25th - 27th March. Our Big Journey is the opportunity for members of Urban Saints Groups, Camps teams and supporters of Urban Saints to do something simple to show that together we are part of something bigger. The idea is that at some point over the weekend we will take part in a journey – a walk, hike or roll that has particular meaning to us, that will provide a challenge to be achieved and give the opportunity for us to have some fun together – even if we can’t physically be in the same location together.
It can be a long journey or a short trip - whatever is most appropriate for you and those you are with. You don't have to do it with others but we do believe that it makes a difference when we journey together. It'll be up to you how you approach your journey on the weekend. For example, you might complete a mile journey with you all in fancy dress, or take an hour to journey around a community that the young people in your Group live in, or team up with another Group to travel between their location and your own. The most important thing is that we are doing this together – journeying alongside one another and cheering each other on.
The mission of making young disciples for Christ is a big journey, as is the journey of faith for a young person, and we wanted to symbolise that journey with a special event like this that we can take on together.
