In Ireland, the teams are building up to the Easter Houseparties, taking place virtually over Zoom. Wilson (Impact Team Leader, Ireland) has been catching up with the main leaders over a series of video chats and finding out what they're most excited about preparing for another virtual Camps experience...
"The thing I am most excited about is what's God going to teach us this Easter. Last year when we had to shift at short notice to online, I found that God was really present and speaking very clearly as we were preparing for Camp. Even though it is not what we would choose, I'm excited to see how God's going to move through online Camp. The team have been planning to see how we can make Camp the best it possibly can be, even online. We're very much making Camp with the girls who join us and excited to connect with them so we'd love them to come and spend Easter with us!" - Anna, Easter Girls House Party
"Normally I would be most excited just to see all the campers and see God working through them in person but I think it is a great opportunity to use the technology we do have and see how He still works through them even though we can't be there in person with them. Whatever background they are from, we are putting Camp on for them and it's going to be great fun and you'll learn about who God is too." - Josh, Easter Boys House Party
"I'm looking forward to the interactions with the young people. Seeing them take part in all the challenges and the creativity it brings out in them. When I look back it was Camp that changed my life - I was 12 when I became a Christian and it was on the Easter House Party too. A week that changed my life and it was when my life properly started. You never know what's going to happen and (House Party) could be something that you look back on for years to come. My hope is that young people will know the hope that Jesus brings in a world that is turned upside down. Whatever the world throws at us, if we have Jesus, we know we're going to be ok." - Phil, Easter Boys House Party
"I've really missed my discussion group and so I'm most looking forward to catching up with them over Easter. Being a part of Urban Saints Camps has really changed the course of my life for the better - it was one of the best decisions I've ever made. It's a great opportunity to get to know other people and to get to know God. To learn what it's like to love Him and follow Him and to live life in all its fullness. Why would anyone want to miss out on all that?!" - Christina, Easter Girls House Party
