At Urban Saints we’ve been deeply saddened by the violent death of George Floyd. We believe that all humans are created in the image of God and violent crimes against members of the Black and Minority Ethnic communities are shocking to the core of our beings and our organisation.
We acknowledge that we are not innocent in this and have much still to learn and put into practice ourselves. Urban Saints is committed to learn and to listen as well as to speak up on behalf of those people whose voices are silenced. We commit to educating ourselves and the young people in our care about issues of racism and discrimination in all its forms. We will continue to speak up for those who have no voice and petition for the rights of the oppressed.
