As one of the ways in which we are supporting churches and groups during the coronavirus crisis, we are delighted to offer you the opportunity to add the parents of the children and young people in your groups to your Energize account free of charge.
Parents can be added by your account Administrator in the same way that leaders are added and you can also use the Group Profiles functionality to create one or more Parent Groups. You could then use this, for example, to e-mail out a weekly session for parents/carers to use in the home.
Parents added to your account will also have access to all the resources on Energize to run their own activities, download worksheets, quizzes, etc. as well as our hints and tips for discipling children and young people through this challenging season.
As well as access to all the existing resources we have also added a new series called Energize at Home.
Sarah Walker has been using Energize at home since September 2019. She shares some of her experience here:
"Energize has been a wonderful resource for our family. We were struggling to keep our young teens (age 12,15,17) interested in attending conventional church services but these resources have really met our need for vibrant, relevant Bible teaching for youth. The short studies are clear and simple and supported with visual learning such as video clips, short presentations, games and activities. We find that interactive small group learning for our family has been most beneficial and drawn us together in our faith as a family.
Energize is packed with material on a huge range of topics. Sessions are entirely age-appropriate and cover hot topics such as apologetics, Christian lifestyle, handling emotions, Bible characters...
Sessions can be built and adapted according to your family need using a simple click and drag technique making sessions as short or long as you like.
The range and type of material available is vast. Our only difficulty is being able to choose from such a varied selection!
We would certainly recommend Energize to other families, particularly if needing to isolate in the current Covid-19 situation."
