Stick man and me

5th Jun 2019

Additional Needs Ministry Director, Mark Arnold, continues to be in high demand across the UK and Ireland. He's been travelling relentlessly throughout 2019, thanks to the generosity of those who have given to support his work.

Contact Mark to book him for your church or group

Mark's been really busy running training seminars and offering additional needs consultancy to churches and groups like yours. Along the way, Mark receives a range of great feedback on his support and the occasional great story about how his training has been applied.

One such story came off the back of Mark's time at a conference earlier this year from one of the youth leaders attending Mark's session:

“I felt God saying to get involved in supporting a young lad in our church who is on the Autism Spectrum. Thank you for the advice and encouragement you gave me. Every Sunday is now a joy as I spend time alongside him during our Sunday School sessions. There have been difficulties too, including him having a 4 week period in hospital. He is still selective mute, but we were pen-pals during his hospital stay and I have had some lovely communications from him, including a stick-man drawing of him and me carrying a cross between us and a big smiling sun.

He and I are developing a wonderful friendship - he inspires me! His mum says he looks forward to Sundays now and the whole church has come together in a way that can only be described as God-led in supporting the family. She says she feels so loved by the church and I believe that he and his family are teaching us how to be a better Church. Thank you!” – Youth Leader, Scotland (January 2019)
