Organisations like Urban Saints need to constantly refresh and refocus. Eighteen months ago, we refreshed the strategy, with a stronger emphasis on discipleship in local weekly groups. Since then we have planted a number of new Groups as well as continuing to support many hundreds of groups and churches all across the UK and Ireland.
Over the next six months we will begin refreshing the Urban Saints brand to better reflect the movement right now. We will update the look and feel with a view to using the brand more consistently across all our ministry areas and projects. We will also be updating the Urban Saints website later in the year too. However, the first step is to update the Urban Saints logo.There were several things we wanted to include in the revised logo:
- Updating the Urban Saints values as outlined in the new strategy (Adventure. Discipleship. Justice.)
- Placing our Crusader heritage at the heart of the logo - including the Crusaders motto from Hebrews 12 ("Looking to Jesus")
- Simplifying the elements of the crest while keeping it recognisable as an Urban Saints logo
We will start to use this updated version of the logo from this summer and we'll be exploring how we use the logo and new brand in local Groups, Camps, Overseas Adventures and other ministries between now and the Autumn. There will be a set of brand guidelines available after September for anyone wishing to use the new Urban Saints brand so watch this space for further details.
