Urban Saints invited to join the European Disability Network

16th Aug 2018

The work of the Additional Needs Ministry at Urban Saints has been recognised internationally as the steering group of the European Disability Network have invited us to join, representing children and young people from the UK with additional needs or disabilities.

The European Disability Network seeks to see a dynamic disability ministry in every European country, resulting in increasing numbers of people with disabilities finding faith in Jesus Christ and being fully involved in churches which are actively inclusive.

We will be joining other UK based ministries including ‘Count Everyone In’ and ‘Torch Trust’ with whom we partnered to create the accessible edition Biblica NIrV New Testament, old friends ‘Through the Roof’, and over thirty other ministries from twenty countries across Europe.

The mission of the EDN is to promote and support evangelistic ministry among and by people with disabilities in Europe, to provide a united voice for disability ministry in Europe, and to provide support, encouragement and fellowship to its partners.

Mark Arnold, the Additional Needs Ministry Director at Urban Saints, commented that “It is a great honour and recognition of our work to be invited to represent UK children and young people with additional needs and disabilities in the European Disability Network. Our thanks to Therese Swinters and the EDN Steering Group for inviting us, we look forward to making a positive contribution to the work of the network.”
