Preventing Gambling Harms In Diverse Communities

Monday 21st February, 7:00pm - 9:00pm

We have joined with YGAM (Young Gamers and Gamblers Education Trust) to offer Urban Saints' Group Leaders and Energize subscribers working with diverse communities in London and the Home Counties the opportunity to participate in this free online workshop.

1 in 2 adults from diverse communities have gambled in the last 12 months and 1 in 4 of those participants have suffered gambling relating harm. Young people have more opportunities than ever to engage in gaming and gambling that can have serious impacts on their well being and future prospects. This workshop aims to equip leaders with the knowledge and tools to understand the triggers and risk factors to gambling and gaming harms for young people. Whilst these risks are not confined or necessarily unique to diverse communities this workshop will be looking at the issues specifically in relation to these communities.

Attendees will receive a City & Guilds Certificate and digital credential plus access to additional resources. Those working with diverse communities outside of London and the Home Counties are welcome to attend but (due to the the way this course is funded) will not be able to receive the accreditation.
