Welcome to the home page for the Trainee & Group Helper Training Programme!
The Trainee and Group Helper Training Programme is part of the Emerging Leaders resources available through Urban Saints – an inspiring range of new initiatives to give young people a real voice in our growing community.
- This one-year programme is specifically written for registered Trainee Helpers aged 14-17 and Group Helpers aged 18 to early 20's in Urban Saints' Groups. It is the perfect free resource for leaders who would like to train suitable teenagers into leadership in their Group.
- Supported by an experienced leader who takes on the role of their Coach, participants help at their Group whilst working through a full-colour, 40-page coursebook containing the 12 practical Units and 3 Challenges at the heart of the course.
- The coursebook material uses a mixture of observation, challenges and practical exercises, all of which require interaction with the young people and leaders in the Group. Over the year the participants gain a thorough grounding in some of the foundations of youth and children's leadership.

- In addition, we also provide a Trainee & Group Helper Programme Resources web page full of short, engaging videos and other downloadable resources that support the topics in the coursebook. A PDF file of the coursebook is also available to download for reference.
- NOTE: The resources page is password protected but can be accessed by anyone with a login to the Urban Saints website. Trainee and Group Helpers will be given login details when they apply for their roles, but prior to this anyone on the Group's leadership team can use their login details to access the page and show it to prospective participants.
