Urban Saints A New Generation Is Rising! |
| The history of mankind is rich with stories of people who were willing to be agents of change for God in their world. Not satisfied with spectating, and being willing to serve despite their weakness, they devoted themselves to making a God-honouring difference in every situation they faced. |

This is what we mean by an Urban Saint; someone living a life of faith, hope and love through Jesus Christ wherever they are in the world, becoming God’s agent of change in their community.
The God of the Bible invites us to join the ranks of ‘Urban Saints’ like Joseph, Moses, Joshua, Deborah, David, Daniel, Nehemiah, Esther, Peter and Paul. All of these were committed to being catalysts in their time, not looking to make history but passionate about helping create a better future; to see God’s Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in Heaven. That passion has continued over the last two thousand years, running through the veins of others like William Tyndale, Martin Luther, William Wilberforce, John Wesley, William Booth, Gladys Aylward, Corrie ten Boom, David Wilkerson and Jackie Pullinger.
God is looking for a generation of children and young people who will respond to His challenge to make a positive difference in the world today. It is time for the negative media stereotypes about young people to be laid aside so that we can encourage their full potential to be released and their significant contribution as agents for the good of society realised.
This is what the Urban Saints movement is all about. Urban Saints are young people who are discovering the joy of following Jesus, with His mission becoming their passion; to see the good news of the Kingdom come, through words and action.
In a chaotic and confusing world, it’s time for the new generation to rise! |
