As part or our ongoing commitment to the value of experiences as an effective tool in youth outreach, discipleship and training, we are looking to appoint an Activities Development Manager for Scotland.
Urban Saints Scotland is hosting an essential seminar for all parents, teachers, church leaders, youth and children’s leaders that will look at working with children and young people with special or additional needs.
Have you ever tried to repair something that needs a screw tightened, but all you have is a hammer? You could probably do the job, but it might not be the best way!
Do you know some young people who would benefit from a mission trip overseas to stretch their faith or help challenge their views of life and the world? Are you as a leader ready to step out of your comfort zone and help lead a mission team in a different country? Are you more practical and would be thrilled to work alongside some young people from the UK in building houses in South Africa?
No doubt you know, or in fact are, a tired, overworked youth or children's leader! This person is probably very busy, has loads of ideas but no time, could do with extra help and sometimes wonders if they're making any difference. We want to meet this person to inspire, encourage and resource them.
We know it's very early to start reflecting on 2011 when there are still a couple of months left before the year ends, but we have recently been looking forward and planning 2012, which automatically makes us look back!
After a dramatic lead up to Spree in the Borders, with two members of the core team being replaced within the final month, a fabulous weekend occurred!

Urban Saints has developed a reputation for first class training for youth and children's leaders. In previous years we've hosted a national tour around many towns and cities.
In preparation for our 2010 Scottish Gathering on 22 May, Urban Saints Scotland has been reflecting on all that has happened in the last 12 months. There have been many highlights and God has been active amongst our groups and our activities.

This year, Alan Baird, the youth pastor from Erskine Church of the Nazarene and one of our Energize leaders, was nominated in the Youthworker of the year (faith issues) category and won!
Our Crusoe team are now in the final stages of preparation for their trip to Romania. Departing from Edinburgh on 4 July, the team will travel to Dunavatu via Bucharest and spend their time running a kids club for local children and visiting an orphanage.
