Countdown to the Big Night Out |

More than 1400 tickets have been sold for the Big Night Out at Lightwater Valley this Saturday, but you can still get yours...
Simply turn up between 4pm and 5.45pm on Saturday and you can buy tickets on the gate priced at £16. Please note, payment is by cash or cheque only.
You may also choose to bring extra cash for food from one of the catering outlets, and if you want to purchase any resources or merchandise from the Market Place, which will be situated in the marquee.
And if your young people fancy entering the spirit of the night, why not suggest that they get dressed up for the occasion?
It promises to be a wonderful evening spent in a top theme park. The gig with the Chip K Band will be the icing on the cake! Let's hope and pray for good weather and that God may shine down on hundreds of young people with the wonderful truth of his love and grace. |

For 30 years Bill Wilson has driven a school bus around some of the most violent and poverty stricken ghettos of New York. Through his pioneering and unique ministry, thousands of children have been impacted by the love of God. We are thrilled to be part of an evening in Bradford where this internationally acclaimed children's pastor will share his experiences and inspire us in our own ministry.
Come and join us with Bill at 7pm on Tuesday June the 19th at Bradford Cathedral. The event is free, and you don't need tickets.

At Spree North East, we offer a spiritual programme where every child and young person gets to hear the gospel in four sessions throughout the weekend. We offer separate sessions for each age group.
This year, we are looking forward to hearing from Andy Wilson, Ben Jack, The Gentlemen and Andrew and Sarah and Phillips. We hope and pray that through their ministry, everyone who attends will move to a new place in their faith.

Cliff College
Fri 1st - Mon 4th June
Urban Saints are proud to be partnering with Cliff College in 2012 to offer an Emerging Leaders training weekend. This is ideal for any young person over the age of 16 who aspires to be a leader, and in particular, those who will be serving on summer residentials, holiday clubs or community outreach projects. The teaching will be provided by Rich Townend from Urban Saints and Sharon Prior, a freelance trainer and part of Urban Saints Steering Group
The weekend is part of the excellent Cliff Festival 2012, which takes place from Friday 1st to Monday 4th June (Bank holiday weekend).
The cost will be £20 - an absolute bargain for a quality programme and residential experience. The accommodation is camping, and food can be bought separately on site.

Student Linkup tour: Host churches wanted!

Urban Saints and Fusion are teaming up to launch a Student Linkup North East tour in the second week of July!
Churches from across North East England will host preparation for uni events to see local young people ready to hit the ground running as confident men and women of Christ come freshers week!
Tour dates are developed in partnership with local church/es with half day, full day and evening events incorporating teaching, discussion, prayer, worship and practical preparation. This is a great opportunity for local churches to work together and some locations may even include school activities too!
The tour will run from 9th - 13th July. Are you interested in hosting a tour date in your town? Pippa or Richard would love to hear from you!

If you're 16+ and planning on coming to Spree North East, why not join the service crew? A rewarding role, service crew help the entire weekend run smoothly and it's a great chance to make some new friends. You will help to run the activities, as well as attending your own spiritual programme tailored just for you. You won't be missing out though! Service Crew get exclusive activity slots just for them, as well as late night activites such as a mocktail bar and your own venue just to chill out. Service Crew play an important role in Spree, without them it wouldn't happen. So for fun, friendship and an introduction to leadership join the service crew now!

Regenerate Training this spring |

Regenerate is an opportunity for anyone who is involved in children's and youth work, full or part time, paid or voluntary, to get together with others doing similar work. Urban Saints are in partnership with Scripture Union to put on Regenerate throughout the year.
Currently, Regenerate evenings run each term in Bradford, Newcastle and Middlesbrough. It is specifically aimed at volunteers, and as well as excellent training, it provides resourcing and networking opportunites, and delicious desserts!

We now have the dates for the showcase events on the Urban Saints North East calendar.
The Big Night Out will take place once again at Lightwater Valley on Saturday 19th May 2012.
As for SPREE, well we can reveal that we'll be planting a brand new SPREE in the North East region in 2012. The inaugral SPREE North East replaces SPREE North, and will take place on the weekend of 29th June to 1st July 2012 at Hollybush Farm, between Thirsk and Northallerton.
We're massively excited about these events and what God can do through them! Booking details will be announced soon. |

What are clusters?
'Clusters' are geographical areas with a number of Urban Saints groups, churches and other Christian organisations working together to help children live lives of faith hope and love. In the North East, we have six clusters, and their aims are threefold:
To serve and support our groups more effectively
To enlarge the Kingdom of God through partnership working
To promote the wider ministry of Urban Saints.
On a national level, Phil Hulks is now the Cluster Development Director, ensuring that every cluster has access to Urban Saints experiences that guarantee Riotous Fun, Adventurous Faith, Genuine Friendship and Life in all it's Fullness. But how does it work in practice?
