Welcome Onboard
Kestin House has seen plenty of changes recently with Sharon Eason heading off to Risipeni in Moldova and three new people joining the team.

Bill Hebner was working as a Development Worker in North Wales for 'Urban Saints in Wales' ('Saint y Gymuned') but from January, he joins the Kestin House team as Emerging Leaders Manager and will be focusing on developing our work with 16-25s all around the nations. Bill will be continuing his role in Wales but will be based in Luton three days a week.

Michelle Brady started working as Supporters Administrator back in October, taking over from Janet Strapp and is now well into the swing of things here at Kestin House. Michelle is also studying for a MA in Conflict Security and Development at Kings College London.

Philip Roethenbaugh starts this month as the new Fundraising Director. Philip has been a professional fundraiser for over 8 years, working with national charities such as NCH and local charities such as Christian addiction rehab charity The Living Room. Before working in the voluntary sector, Philip worked in corporate entertainment organising motor sport activity days and film-making

Sharon Eason, meanwhile, heads over to Moldova in February. She will live in a small community centre through which she wants to build a real sense of unity in the village. Moldova is the poorest country in Eastern Europe. 1 in 4 families are without a father figure as they leave the family home to find work in Moscow or other European countries. Human trafficking is a major problem together with alcoholism, domestic violence, poverty, malnutrition and child abuse. Sharon wants to establish a mum and toddler groups so that she can educate mums on health issues, parenting and play. The name of the centre will be "The Gift of Hope" and the vision is to bring healing to broken communities through 'Faith, Hope and most of all, Love'.
