Albania

Where are CRUSOE teams going in 2008?
Albania - to Libonik, working with a church there and helping the church leaders with their work in a nearby village.
Moldova - to Risipeni, working with Sharon Eason (ex Urban Saints Fundraising Director) and following up the work of last year's Crusoe with the children of the village.
Romania - one team from Ireland, continuing a long-standing work with Cristia (the Romanian version of Urban Saints) and a new venture, Markyate Urban Saints group doing a Crusoe trip as a group, working with the Myosotis Trust in Barlad, with whom their church has links.
The Gambia - continuing working with the Anglican College in Farafenni, and reaching out into nearby villages.

Euro CRUSOE:
2 weeks in an Eastern European developing country
possible placement countries - Albania, Moldova, Romania
for young people aged 14 - 16
2008 fundraising target £750

World CRUSOE:
4 weeks in a country outside Europe
possible placement countries - the Gambia, Kenya, Lesotho, Rwanda, South Africa
for young people aged 16 - 20
2008 fundraising target £1700

What will I be doing?
As part of a team of young people with adult leaders, you will work alongside local Christians:
running children's Bible clubs
schools work
evangelism
building, decorating, gardening

When does CRUSOE take place?
Overseas CRUSOE trips take place between late July and the end of August.  If you are in Ireland or Scotland you may leave earlier in July.

Applications for Crusoe 2008 are now closed, but it isn't too early to start thinking about 2009.  In addition to all the above destinations, there are possible trips to Rwanda, Kenya and Ghana.  Watch this space for more information.
