Why not watch this video with your co-leaders this month and then spend some time chewing over the following questions:
* Read Proverbs 3:5-6. Which part of this verse do you find the hardest to live out?
* Read the water walking story in Matthew 14:22-32 three times. Immerse yourself in the story. Perhaps a person or a phrase will stand out to you. Allow yourself to soak the story in and see what you notice. Meditate on the passage and see what God says to you through this story about faith. Share your reflections together.
* What might it look like for you personally to live a more ‘water walking’ life of faith? Where do you personally need to take more risks with God?
* What might it look like for your youth/children’s group to “step out of the boat” more, depending more on God than your own resources?
* What do you think about these challenging words from author John Ortberg… “From this point on, for the rest of your life, every time you walk on the water, each time you trust God and seek to discern and obey his calling on your life, your God will get bigger, and your worship will grow deeper, richer, and stronger. That is because Jesus is not finished yet. He is still looking for people who will dare to trust him. He is still looking for people who will refuse to allow fear to have the final word. He is still looking for people who refuse to be deterred by failure. He is still passing by.”
