I just wanted to send a wee note as a reminder of 2 Upcoming events in the Urban Saints calendar that we would love to see you at:-
1) Summer Sports 2010 – it makes it long awaited return after a wash out last year
Friday 14th May 2010
Where: Ormeau Playing Fields (Ozone), Ormeau Embankment.
Time: 6:45pm - 9:30pm (competition starts 7pm sharp)
Admission Fee: £4 per person.
Usain Bolt would not stand a chance at our summer sports, partly because there is no 100 metre race but that is beside the point. Join us, again, in the glorious Irish sunshine as we enjoy some summer sports with all the usual activities with "a it’s a knock-out" format of team games and individual challenges.
All Teams will spend an action packed evening competing in physical, skill and even mental challenges gathering points as they go. These points will be converted into time bonuses at the end for the Monster Final Challenge, where all teams will go head to head in an attempt to claim the ultimate prize...
The Summer Sports Shield
(Closing date for applications is Friday 7th May 2009)
Note: Each team is to have 6 young people aged between 10-18, Please if you have less than 6 let us know and we can make up teams with others in the same boat.
2) Energize Live worship event –
Saturday 29th May, 7-8.30pm, Oasis Café, 22 Elmwood Avenue Belfast,
A Night of worship lead by our very own Tullylish, fellowship and challenge from God’s
word.
This year our theme is ‘Energize 4 Action’ looking at Christ’s challenge to bring God’s love and word to the corners of the Globe. It will also give us a great opportunity to pray for all those serving in anyway over the summer.
This event is for all secondary school Age
