Team News
Our Regional Support Worker, Linda Sharp, will be leaving us at the end of the July to take on a new role with CareNet, a Christian charity that networks with medical professionals.

But Linda is not the only person to be moving on in the coming months. Rob Saggs from our Regional Streering Group is moving with his wife Janette from Hull to a church in Maldon in Essex. And Crusader stalwart Carole Lead will be moving from her home in Ampleforth to a new life in Suffolk where she will be closer to her grand-children. We'll miss you all guys, and hope God blesses you in everything that lies ahead!

We will inform you shortly as to the appointment of a new Regional Support Worker. Watch this space!
For the past 14 months, I’ve been working as Regional Support Worker here in the North East and as I prepare to move on soon to a new role in Leeds, it’s good to look back and reflect on the past year….

• I have really enjoyed making contact with a number of Urban Saints Group leaders and hearing their stories of the highs and lows of youth work, finding out how we could support them in prayer and practical ways, and rejoicing together when prayers were answered and young lives touched by the Good News of Jesus
• Helping on the 6-week Reality Bites course led by Mark “Rocky” Roques was a real thrill and I’m sure numerous youngsters are now hearing inspirational real-life stories as a result of Mark’s teaching on story-telling
• 20+ youth leaders from the Leeds area gathered recently to hear about ENERGIZE and the wider work of Urban Saints and it was a great joy to me to see people connecting and encouraging one another in their ministries
• My family came with me to SPREE North just the other weekend and had such a fantastic time I feel sure we’ll be returning to help out again next year. Hope to see some of you there!
• We’ve seen a growth in group numbers in the North East from 36 to 42 in the past year which is fantastic and local connections and partnerships are developing all the time and my prayer is that this will continue in the coming months and years
• As I’ve talked with folk in Leeds about Urban Saints, I’ve discovered numerous people who attended Crusader groups locally in their youth and it is wonderful to realise that many of them are now involved in youth work themselves and re-connecting with the Ministry that shaped them so many years ago

So a huge THANK YOU to Rich and all of you in the North East who have been so supportive and prayed for me in my role! I’ll be keeping in touch and look forward to hearing how the Lord continues to take things forward. God Bless!
